Lagos State Takes Action to Enhance Oshodi’s Appeal by Removing Rail Track Vendors

Efforts to restore the city’s charm led to a crackdown on rail track vendors and environmental violators in the Oshodi region by the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps.

In a statement and social media posts on Wednesday, Tokunbo Wahab, the State Commissioner for the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources, disclosed this development.

According to him, “As part of the ongoing campaign to revitalize the State’s aesthetics, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial conducted an operation to clear the railway line near Arena and other sections of Oshodi, confiscating items unlawfully exhibited on the tracks.”

A video showcased the removal of makeshift stalls and confiscated merchandise from the rail tracks.
