Supporting the initiative of the Ebele and Anyichuks Foundation alongside Patoranking, Dr. Ifeanyi C. Odii, along with the foundation staff and volunteers, conducted a 3-day outreach from April 30 to May 2, 2020, for the distribution of palliatives to vulnerable citizens in Lagos, ensuring strict compliance with social distancing protocols.
The outreach resulted in the distribution of 10,000 bags of rice, 3,000 cartons of noodles, and other relief materials to residents of Abule-ado, Ebute-metta, and Makoko communities. Additionally, 30,000 bags of rice were distributed across the South-Eastern states.
The Ebele and Anyichuks foundation, in collaboration with Patoranking, previously made significant donations of N20 million each to the Federal Ministry of Health, Lagos State Ministry of Health, and Ebonyi State Ministry of Health in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.
Dr. Odii, in his address to the communities reached by the foundation, urged residents to adhere to the NCDC measures to contain the spread of the pandemic and emphasized the importance of unity and support for one another during these challenging times.
