Kuda Bank, a fintech company operating in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, has made a promise to gift N2 million Naira to an X user, #_Debbie_OA, who received criticism for revealing that she wakes up at 4.50 am daily to prepare food for her husband. This information was shared on the official X handle of the company on Saturday.

In response to a screenshot showing an account balance of over N2 million Naira shared by Debbie, Kuda commented, “As your bank, we’re happy to match the ₦2,044,133.94 balance in your screenshot. Keep doing you, Debbie! 💜” Debbie expressed her surprise and gratitude, saying, “I’m just seeing this. I got a call from Kuda today and they said I’ll hear from them, but I didn’t know it would be this huge. Thank you #joinkuda 😭🙏🏽🙏🏽🙌🏽.”

In addition, the National Information Development Agency (NITDA) has also offered to gift her and her husband two laptops and a one-year internet subscription. In a post on X, NITDA wrote, “Hello, #Debbie_OA your amazing love story and perseverance is touching, and we would like to gift you two laptops and 1-year internet subscription for you and your husband. This is to ensure that Mummy Zee joins our quest for a #DigitalNigeria and #Tech4Women. We have just followed you. Please check your DM. Goodluck!”

PUNCH Online reported that the Nigerian lady started trending on social media after sharing on X how she started waking up at 4:50 am to cook for her husband, following his disclosure that his colleague brought two spoons with her food so that they could eat together. This tweet sparked controversy as some users condemned her actions while others supported her by contributing to celebrate her dedication.

Netizens donated over N2 million to her, and other Nigerians have continued to offer her different gifts. Infinix Nigeria, a smartphone company, offered its latest device, Infinix Hot 40, to the lady and her husband. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited also extended an offer of a free PMS voucher worth N200,000.
