When asked about the reliance of Nigerian musicians on foreign platforms such as the Grammys for recognition, Bello emphasized the importance of connecting with fans through music.
He expressed, “While awards are a positive acknowledgment, the greatest reward lies in knowing that your music brings happiness to people.”
For Bello, being recognized in prestigious award nominations already signifies a level of achievement. However, he places a higher value on the impact of his music on listeners and the commercial success it achieves.
He explained, “Success in the industry is essential for sustaining oneself. Validation of our artistic endeavors plays a role in this. It inspires both artists to create exceptional work and serves as encouragement for others to do the same.”
