The NCDC’s announcement of a third COVID-19 case in Kogi State has been called into question by the state government.
Yesterday, the NCDC reported 348 new cases of COVID-19, one of which was supposedly recorded in Kogi.
However, in a recent Facebook post, Dr. Saka Haruna, the Kogi State Commissioner for Health, expressed that neither the ministry nor the state government has any knowledge of such a case, similarly to the denial of the first index case.
“The purported New Case: We are not aware of who the patient is, where and when the Test was conducted. No Sample sent from KG” he wrote.
The NCDC has not yet responded to this issue.
