Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have taken legal action against a woman who claims that the NBA star is the father of her child.
Kimberly Alexander received a cease and desist letter from the former couple’s attorney, Marty Singer, on Wednesday, May 13. The letter instructed her to “immediately stop defaming them with malicious defamatory lies and specious fabrications.”
This comes after Gossip of the City published purported paperwork from LB Genetics, a facility specializing in paternity and family relationship DNA testing services, indicating that Tristan took a paternity test in January 2020.
Singer confirmed that Tristan took a paternity test which established he is not the father of the child. However, Kimberly reportedly requested a second test and they agreed, but only at an accredited lab.
The lawyer also alleged that Alexander was “fired” from attorney Lisa Bloom’s firm after they determined they could not “resolve” her claims. Singer further stated that Kimberly is seeking notoriety with her claim.
The letter read in parts:
“It is obvious that the reason you are spreading these lies about my clients is because you want your 15 minutes of fame. My clients will not tolerate your despicable conduct.”
“It has been proven that Mr. Thompson is not the father of your child, and we demand that you stop claiming that he is, and that he and Ms. Kardashian somehow falsified the paternity test results,” the letter continues. “It is defamatory per se to falsely assert that someone is a deadbeat dad who allegedly does not support his children, and to falsely accuse my clients of faking paternity test results.”
Kimberly was also asked to delete all social media posts and refrain from posting anything about Kardashian or Thompson.
The letter added:
“This is an extremely serious matter. If you disregard this letter’s demands, you do so at your peril since you will soon find yourself in court facing multi-million-dollar claims while attempting to defend your indefensible misconduct.”
Tristan currently has two children: 3-year-old Prince with model Jordan Craig, and 2-year-old True with Khloe Kardashian.
After a split over cheating rumors in early 2019, it is speculated that Khloe is considering reconciling with Tristan as they’ve been spending the lockdown together with their daughter.
On Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she even discussed having another baby with Tristan and even went so far as to freeze her eggs. However, she has shut down pregnancy rumors which ignited a Twitter storm days ago.
