Kenyan Man Arrested for Fatally Assaulting 4-Month-Old Son Due to Paternity Doubt (Graphic Video)

Police in Gatanga Murang’a, Kenya, have detained a 23-year-old man, Mark Njuguna, for allegedly killing his infant son who was just four months old.

A video capturing the incident, which has since gone viral, shows the suspect physically attacking his wife, Mary Muthoni, using a belt while their baby cries on the floor.

The assailant then grabs the infant, whom he claims is not his biological child, and hurls him over the sofa.

The baby tragically succumbed to the injuries after the fall onto the concrete floor.

According to the police report, the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, January 25, and it was reported by the suspect’s father.

Njuguna’s father, Samuel Kigumo, stated that the baby’s mother woke him at around 2:45 am after the incident had taken place.

Kigumo conveyed that Muthoni managed to escape from the house after her husband threatened to harm her if she alerted the neighbors.

The couple is believed to have quarreled after the man questioned the paternity of the baby.

“My daughter-in-law came running to my house telling me that her husband has killed their baby boy,” he said.

“We are still in shock because we don’t understand why he would commit such a terrible act and take the life of an innocent child,” added Kigumo.

The body was taken to General Kago mortuary in Thika for a postmortem examination as the police investigate the matter further.
