Kelechi Iheanacho Striving for Fitness Ahead of LaLiga Season

According to a report by NewsNow, Kelechi Iheanacho is pushing hard to achieve full fitness by the start of the upcoming La Liga season.

Iheanacho recently signed a two-year contract with Spanish club Sevilla on Wednesday, departing from his former team Leicester City in the English Premier League after his contract expired in June.

After a period of inactivity throughout the summer, the Nigerian international is now gearing up to begin pre-season training with Sevilla.

Although he acknowledged that he is not yet at 100% fitness, the 27-year-old revealed his efforts to improve, stating in an interview on Sevilla’s official website, “I have had the opportunity to engage in personal training with a coach, which has been beneficial for my fitness level. I am not too far from reaching peak condition, so I am optimistic about joining the team soon and further enhancing my fitness with their support.”

Looking ahead, he expressed his hope to be ready for the opening game, saying, “Hopefully, I’ll be ready to play the first game of the season.”

Sevilla is set to confront Las Palmas in their inaugural match of the new season.
