Kebbi Governor’s Assistant Fired Over ‘Indecent’ Social Media Post

Kebbi State governor, Nasiru Idris, has terminated the employment of his Special Adviser on Youths, Alhaji Babangida Sarki, due to an ‘immoral’ social media post.

In a statement signed by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, on Monday, it was revealed that “The governor, who was infuriated by the offensive incident, stated that the aide violated the ethical and societal values of the Kebbi community, which is predominantly Islamic.

“Idris assured that his administration would not tolerate any similar behaviors that degrade the morality and reputation of the people of the state.”

The spokesperson stated that the governor has warned all public officials in the state to refrain from making such inappropriate posts on their social media accounts and other public platforms.
