Governor Nasiru Idris of Kebbi state made the decision to sack his Special Adviser on Youths, Alhaji Babangida Sarki due to an indecent post that was shared on his WhatsApp status.
The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Ahmed Idris, announced the decision on Monday, July 10. It was alleged that the aide’s actions went against the moral and social values of the largely Islamic Kebbi society.
The statement read, “The governor, who was enraged by the obnoxious development, stated that the aide’s actions denigrated the morality and integrity of the people of the state. Governor Idris promised that his administration would not tolerate such acts.”
The Governor also cautioned all public officers in the state against making similar indecent postings on their social media accounts and other public platforms.
