Kano CP orders 24-hour patrol, traffic control 

The Kano State Police Commissioner, CP Salman Garba, has ordered round-the-clock patrols and effective traffic control to ensure public safety in the state as the rainy season sets in.

Garba gave the directive during a meeting with Operational Commanders, and Divisional Police Officers in Kano on Tuesday.

CP Dogo highlighted the security challenges associated with the rainy season and charged them to respond promptly to emergencies and distress calls.

The Police Commissioner also directed the Public Relations Unit to continue educating the public on security tips through weekly enlightenment programs.

He advised the public to exercise caution during the rainy season, drive slowly, avoid travelling during heavy rains, and service their vehicles regularly.

He also urged the public to report any suspicious movements or items to the nearest police station or through emergency contact numbers.
