Gunmen have killed the village head of Kurmin- Kare, Ishaya Barnabas, and abducted three other residents in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the bandits invaded the village on motorcycles and headed to the chief’s house and shot him dead before proceeding to a neighbour’s house where they kidnapped three residents.
He told NewsNow that youths mobilised and arrested one of the bandits after he fell down from a motorcycle.
The suspected bandit, according to him, was handed over to soldiers.
ASP Hassan Mansur, spokesman of Kaduna Police Command, did not answer his call for confirmation.
