Currently in custody at the FCT police command is Kayode Jaiyeola, a dedicated photojournalist working with NewsNow newspaper.
Jaiyeola informed a colleague through a distressed communication that his arrest took place at the Eagles Square by a deputy from the Office of the National Security Adviser.
The journalist disclosed that he was later transferred to the FCT police command by the officer who apprehended him and is currently being detained there.
Jaiyeola mentioned that his mobile phone and camera were confiscated by the police.
“At the Eagles Square, I was picked up by an official linked to the NSA and then handed over to the police command. I am presently detained at the police command. They have confiscated my phone and camera,” he reported in a distressed message to our correspondent.
