Jose Mourinho Eyeing Fenerbahce Move for Man Utd Defender Victor Lindelof

Reports suggest that Fenerbahce’s manager, Jose Mourinho, is interested in bringing Manchester United’s defender, Victor Lindelof, to his squad.

Aiming to further his career in Turkey, Mourinho has identified the Swedish international as a potential addition to the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium roster, as per Teamtalk (via EPL Index).

Having enjoyed success in Portugal, England, Italy, and Spain, Mourinho is now looking to make his mark in Turkey.

Since taking over from Jorge Jesus at Fenerbahce, Mourinho is focused on strengthening the team, which narrowly missed out on the Turkish league title despite accumulating 99 points in the 2023-24 season.

With a desire to bolster Fenerbahce’s defense, Mourinho sees a reunion with Lindelof, whom he previously coached at Manchester United, as a strategic move.

Following his €35 million transfer from Benfica in 2017, Lindelof has faced challenges in securing a regular starting spot for the Red Devils.

During his time at United, Lindelof featured in 259 matches, with 45 of those under Mourinho’s guidance.
