Jose Mourinho expresses longing for former Man Utd midfielder during Champions League match

The manager of Fenerbahce, Jose Mourinho, revealed his sense of absence without Fred on the field during their 2-1 defeat against Lille.

During the first leg of their Champions League third-round qualifiers, the Turkish team conceded a late goal to the Ligue 1 club.

Post-game, Mourinho expressed disappointment, stating that he felt the absence of ex-Manchester United midfielder Fred during the match.

Unfortunately, Fred was unable to participate in the game on Tuesday due to ineligibility.

Addressing the press after the encounter, Mourinho mentioned, “I don’t want to admit it, but I do miss Fred. He plays a vital role for our team.

“We wrapped up the first half of the tour behind 2-1. Now, we look forward to heading to Kadıköy with our yellow and navy blue flags flying high.”
