JAMB cautions against candidates displaying printed result slips for 2024 UTME

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has advised vigilance regarding any candidate who presents a printed result slip for the recently concluded 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, emphasized that the results are not available in printed form as being shared on social media platforms by certain individuals.

According to Benjamin, “To access the 2024 UTME result, the only valid method is by texting UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number used for UTME registration. It is important to ensure that the SIM card is not connected to any mobile bundle.”

He clarified, “This process is different from the previous year, therefore, the results are currently not accessible on the board’s website.”

Benjamin encouraged candidates to use the prescribed method to obtain their results, emphasizing that there is no need to visit cybercafés or seek assistance from third-party sources for result checking.

“A significant number of candidates have successfully accessed their results, as noted on our monitoring dashboard. For those still facing challenges, please adhere to the correct procedure,” he further stated.
