Irregularities in Recent Recruitment Uncovered by Nigeria Police, List Includes Non-Applicants – Statement

A statement from the Nigeria Police Force has raised concerns about corruption and irregularities in the list of successful candidates for the current 2022/23 Police Constables Recruitment Exercise.

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, issued the statement on Saturday, highlighting the alleged discrepancies.

Upon closer examination of the list posted on the Police Service Commission (PSC) portal, it was revealed that individuals who did not apply, candidates who failed the Computer Based Test, and those disqualified for medical reasons were included in the final selection.

This comes after the PSC announced on June 4 the approval and publication of a list of 10,000 successful applicants for recruitment in the constable and specialist cadres.

However, the Inspector General of Police sent a letter of protest to the Commission’s Chairman on June 10, pointing out the identified irregularities.
