Iran confirms its first two coronavirus cases

Iran has reported its first two cases of the coronavirus. The Iranian health ministry has revealed that initial tests on two suspected cases have returned positive. Kiyanoush Jahanpour, the country’s health ministry spokesperson, stated that they have found suspected cases of the new coronavirus in the last two days. The cases were identified in the city of Qom, and the patients have been isolated. Further tests are being conducted to confirm the issue. The virus, known as COVID-19, originated in Wuhan, China, and has infected over 70,000 people globally, resulting in more than 2,000 deaths.
