Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca recently clarified that there are no personal issues between him and Raheem Sterling.
Nevertheless, Maresca maintains that Sterling doesn’t align with the strategic style he aims to implement at Stamford Bridge.
In a surprising move, Sterling was excluded from the Blues’ season opener against Manchester City last weekend.
Furthermore, the England winger is not expected to participate in the upcoming match against Servette in the UEFA Conference League.
During a press briefing, Maresca stated, “I’ve been transparent; Sterling won’t see any playing time here.
“It’s not a question of his abilities; I simply have a preference for a different profile of wingers. That’s the gist of it.”
