Initiative Launched by Ekiti Government to Collect Data from Unemployed Youths, Market Women, and Others

An extensive data collection and collation exercise targeting unemployed youths, market women, okada riders, artisans, and various other community stakeholders has been initiated by the Ekiti State Government.

Addressing the public in Ado Ekiti, the Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, disclosed that the primary objective is to establish a comprehensive database that can facilitate the development of strategic interventions and planning to effectively combat unemployment in the state.

Including a wide range of individuals such as the unemployed, market vendors, private sector representatives, community leaders, and people with disabilities aged between 18 and 50 years, the data collection exercise also aims to assist in decision-making processes and identifying challenges encountered by businesses, promoting agriculture, digital innovations, and more.

Olatunbosun elaborated that registration could be completed either in-person at the 16 local government councils and 22 local council development area headquarters or online via https://wealthcreation. ekiapps.ng. He assured that this initiative will revolutionize the employment landscape in the state.

Emphasizing that the program is designed to ensure fair distribution of employment opportunities and government interventions without any bias, the commissioner noted that registered individuals would be eligible for future government initiatives.

Hence, he encouraged the youth in the state to seize the opportunity presented to register themselves and benefit from this development.
