Important Update: DSS Apprehends Oyo Transport Union Leader Auxiliary

Reports indicate that Mukaila Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary, the embattled chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System, has been arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS).

An unnamed senior government official informed Leadership that Auxiliary was taken into custody by DSS operatives on Tuesday afternoon.

Details regarding the cause of the arrest are currently unclear.

Despite attempts by NewsNow to contact the DSS, their spokesperson Peter Afunnanya was unreachable.

Notably, this arrest occurs a decade after Auxiliary’s previous arrest during the tenure of former governor Abiola Ajimobi.

In the past, Auxiliary, a once feared figure in Ibadan, the state’s capital, was apprehended by the Ajimobi administration in May 2014 and subsequently incarcerated in 2016. He regained freedom towards the end of the government’s term in 2018.
