President Bola Tinubu has been credited by Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State for dismantling cabals that exploit the country’s resources.
Uzodinma pointed out that these cabals were behind the sponsorship of the ongoing nationwide protest against Tinubu, despite benefiting from Nigeria’s resources.
In a statement released on Friday, the governor praised the people of the Southeast for their decision not to participate in the nationwide protest.
While acknowledging the citizens’ right to peaceful protest, Uzodinma emphasized Tinubu’s dedication to addressing the country’s challenges.
He applauded the South Eastern region for understanding the potential risks of the protests being hijacked and choosing safety and stability.
Uzodinma expressed disappointment that those responsible for the current economic difficulties are now funding protests instead of collaborating with the Federal Government to find solutions.
He attributed this shift in reaction to having a courageous President willing to break the hold of the entrenched cabal exploiting the nation’s resources.
