Super Eagles pair Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi participated as Leicester endured a 4-0 loss to Liverpool in their ultimate pre-season match yesterday’s Sunday.
Ndidi was included in the starting lineup while Iheanacho made his appearance in the latter half.
Liverpool broke the deadlock in the 30th minute courtesy of Darwin Nunez while Bobby Clark doubled the lead on 35 minutes.
In the 38th minute, Diogo Jota extended the lead for the Reds before 17-year-old Ben Doak added the fourth goal to complete the comprehensive victory.
The Foxes will commence their campaign in the Championship with a home fixture against Coventry City on August 6th.
They were demoted to the English second-tier from the Premier League last season alongside Leeds and Southampton.
