IGP Akali applauds two police officers for their successful ambush against bandits and returning $800

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, has commended Inspector Ekene Ndukwu of Imo State Police Command and Constable Nura Mande of Katsina Police command for their successful ambush against armed bandits and returning an envelope containing 800 USD belonging to an intending pilgrim.

It was reported that Inspector Ndukwu neutralized two members of a bandit gang who stormed his house in the early hours of August 4th, 2022, while Constable Mande returned an envelope containing 800 USD belonging to an old woman at the Hajj Camp, Katsina.

In a statement released by police spokesperson Olumiyiwa Adejobi, the Inspector-General of Police urged all officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force to emulate the exceptional conduct of these officers.

The IGP commended Inspector Ekene Ndukwu of the Imo State Police Command for successfully laying an ambush and neutralizing two members of a bandit gang who stormed his house. He also praised Police Constable Nura Mande attached to the Katsina State Police Command for returning an envelope containing 800 USD belonging to an intending pilgrim, an old woman, at the Hajj Camp. The Inspector-General of Police urged all officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force to emulate the noble conduct of these exemplary members and continually exemplify good conduct, integrity, bravery, and gallantry in the discharge of their policing responsibilities.
