IGP Adamu Mohammed and 11 other police officers receive negative Coronavirus test results

The results of the Coronavirus tests conducted on the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, and 11 other police officers have returned negative.

According to a statement from the Force Spokesperson, DCP Frank Mba, the IGP and the police officers submitted their samples for testing last Friday, and the results confirmed that they were not infected.

The list of police officers who tested negative includes Principal Staff Officer to the IGP, Idowu Owohunwa; Head of the Force Technical Intelligence Unit, Lanre Ogunlowo; Personal Physician to the IGP, Dr. Nonye Welle, and others like the Medical Officer, Police Clinic at the Force Headquarters, Dr. Titus Adegbite; Secretary to the IGP, Moses Jolugbo, and five other close aides to the police boss.

Emphasizing the importance of adhering to precautionary and safety measures, the IGP urged police personnel nationwide to be vigilant as policing involves high-contact activities with inherent risks.
