Identity of the Nigerian Doctor Who Reported First Coronavirus Case in Nigeria Revealed

The Nigerian doctor who suspected and reported the Italian man, the index case of coronavirus in the country, to the appropriate authorities, has been identified and appreciated by the Ogun State Government. 

 

The Ogun State Government acknowledged the young woman as Dr Amarachukwu Karen Allison in its tweets of appreciation.

 

According to the Ogun State Government, the outstanding work of the young doctor at Lafarge Cement Company led to the early diagnosis and swift containment of the first Covid-19 infection in Nigeria.
