IBEDC guarantees stable power provision throughout Easter celebrations

The commitment from the management of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc assures customers within its operational area of uninterrupted power supply during the Easter period.

In a recent statement, Kingsley Achife, the Managing Director of IBEDC, confirmed that the company has made provisions to have its technical team readily available to handle any arising issues during the festive season.


Extending warm wishes to Christians and all Nigerians marking the Easter season, Achife emphasized the importance of Easter, underlining its values of love, renewal, and sacrifice, which serve as foundational principles for societal harmony and advancement.

The Managing Director encouraged all citizens, especially Christians, to embody a spirit of love and empathy, nurturing unity and shared prosperity.

“IBEDC reiterates its dedication to providing quality service throughout the Easter celebrations.

He assured customers that the technical team would be on standby to address any potential electrical faults promptly during this period,” the statement partly read, urging customers to reach out for assistance through the customer care line,” the statement mentioned.

Cautioning against the involvement of unqualified personnel in managing electrical issues within communities, the Managing Director emphasized the significance of complying with safety measures and proper grounding of premises.

Achife also highlighted the risks associated with tampering with electrical installations, emphasizing that such actions are not only illegal but also pose significant hazards of electrical accidents.

Lastly, Achife advised motorists to drive cautiously, abstain from driving under the influence of alcohol, and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent accidents involving electrical infrastructure.
