IBEDC assures stable power supply for Eid-El-Kabir

The commitment of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc to its customers includes ensuring a consistent power supply during the Eid-El-Kabir festivities, as conveyed by the Acting Managing Director, Francis Agoha, in a recent statement.

Agoha emphasized the company’s readiness to have its technical team available to address any arising issues promptly throughout the celebrations, while extending warm wishes to Muslims nationwide during the Sallah commemoration. He underlined the significance of principles like selflessness, brotherly love, and sacrifice in promoting unity and prosperity, values synonymous with this period.

Emphasizing IBEDC’s unwavering commitment to delivering excellent service, Agoha assured customers of swift resolution of any technical faults during the holiday period.

Agoha cautioned against energy theft, citing its contradiction with the spirit of honesty and sacrifice associated with Eid-El-Kabir. Stressing the criminal nature of energy theft and its negative impact on service quality for all customers, he urged individuals to report issues through official channels rather than resorting to illegal actions.

Customers were also warned against meddling with electrical installations due to the severe risks of accidents, with Agoha advising on proper earthing as a safety precaution.

In advocating for hassle-free transactions, customers were encouraged to leverage various payment options like the IBEDCPAY app, FetsWallet, Quickteller, and other platforms for bill settlements and vending, minimizing the risk of disconnection.

IBEDC offices will maintain operational hours during public holidays from 9 am to 3 pm to cater to customer needs, with inquiries welcomed via email at [email protected].

This assurance from IBEDC coincides with the global observance of Eid-El-Kabir by Muslims worldwide.
