A mother of a set of twins, who were abducted in Oyo state, was seen weeping as she appealed to their abductors to release them in a video that has been widely circulated online. The attack took place on Saturday, April 25th, at the home of the well-known cleric, Sheik Taofeeq Akeugbagold in Ibadan, Oyo state.
The distraught mother, unable to contain her tears, mentioned that she had waited for 12 long years before she could welcome her twins into the world. She pleaded with the abductors to have mercy and release her children. She also stated that her husband is willing to meet whatever demands the abductors may have. She beseeched all Nigerians to pray for the safe return of her children.
The police have initiated an investigation and are hopeful to rescue the twins alive. They are also working towards apprehending those responsible for the abduction.
