The renowned actress, Chioma Toplis, has taken to social media to ridicule a couple of bank employees who are alleged to have assaulted her at her residence in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Earlier reports by LIB revealed that 36-year-old Vivian Okoro and her 36-year-old boyfriend Femi Omomeji are set to be charged before an Igbosere Chief Magistrate Court in Lagos on January 11 for allegedly assaulting the actress. The incident reportedly occurred when Toplis questioned them for tampering with her meter, leading to injuries that necessitated two bone surgeries on her left leg and the attachment of a metal to the leg.
In an update on the case, Chioma Toplis suggested that the couple has been remanded in Kirikiri prison. She made a post on Facebook implying her influence in their arrest, stating, “Wow.. I didn’t know that I am this powerful to just throw a boyfriend and girlfriend @unionbank staffs into Kirikiri prison for doing absolutely nothing.”
