Nollywood actress, Monalisa Chinda has revealed that the numbers used to communicate with her kidnapped colleagues can easily be traced.

Monalisa, who serves as the Director of Communications of the Actors’ Guild of Nigeria (AGN), took to Instagram to express her concerns about the kidnapping of actress Cynthia Okereke and actor Clemson Cornel, who did not return home from a movie location.

The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of $100k.

She further added that the numbers used to communicate with the actors in captivity can easily be traced.

It is noteworthy that Isa Pantami, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy in Nigeria, had directed that all SIM cards should be linked to their owners’ National Identification Numbers (NIN) in order to tackle insecurity in the country.

Earlier this year, phone lines not linked to owners’ NIN were barred from making calls.
