Kelechi Iheanacho, the new signing for Sevilla, has shared that the club’s sporting director, Victor Orta, played a crucial role in persuading him to join the Spanish LaLiga team.
In his debut interview with the club on Thursday, the Nigerian forward expressed how Orta significantly influenced his decision to transfer to Sevilla during this summer’s transfer window.
Iheanacho recently inked a two-year deal with the possibility of extending it for another year.
At 27 years old, he is Sevilla’s fifth addition for the summer.
“Victor is an amazing individual. He had a major impact. He has been observing me for quite some time now and understands the type of striker I am,” Iheanacho revealed.
“He has been making significant contributions to the football club as well, which has made this decision relatively straightforward. So, yes. Victor is a wonderful person,” he added.
