Heartland Football Club Welcomes Emmanuel Amuneke as New Technical Manager

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has appointed Emmanuel Amuneke as the new Technical Manager of Heartland Football Club, aiming to rejuvenate the team.

The unveiling ceremony occurred on August 5, 2024, at the New Executive Council Chambers, Government House Owerri, as announced by Oguwike Nwachuku, the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the governor.

Governor Uzodimma highlighted the importance of restructuring the club for a better future, reflecting on its relegation in 2020 and his efforts to bring it back to the Nigeria Premier Football League.

Addressing recent challenges, Uzodimma acknowledged the need to revamp the club’s administrative and management structure for its revival.

Expressing confidence in Amuneke’s expertise, the governor praised his skills in football management and technical administration.

Setting high targets for the technical team, Uzodimma emphasized their goal of winning the Premiership and competing in Continental tournaments.

To support Amuneke in his new role, Uzodimma pledged resources and streamlined communication between the management team and his office to avoid bureaucratic hurdles.
