Anthony Ebuka Victor, popularly known as Victony, a Nigerian musician, has shared that he has completed four surgeries and is preparing for another one.
In 2021, the artist survived a severe car accident that resulted in him being in a coma for four days.
During an interview on the Adesope live segment at the Afroland festival, Victony mentioned that he is still in the process of recovery post four surgeries.
Discussing his upcoming North America tour, he revealed that he relies on pain relief before going on stage.
“To be honest, I feel blessed and it’s evident. Despite still recovering, I’m able to pursue this opportunity. I am gearing up for a tour soon.”
“Reflecting on last year, even recently, I’ve undergone 4 surgeries with another one scheduled after the tour. Nevertheless, it’s a blessing. The constant visits to the hospital.
“Before stepping on stage, I take pain relief and continue to record. I’m grateful for God’s grace; it’s not my doing. I can’t explain why I’m being blessed since I’m not the favorite,” he expressed.
It is worth mentioning that in February 2023, Victony announced a two-month hiatus from music following his third surgery.
