"He beat up the health attendant on duty" LASUTH reacts to claims made by actor Ebisan that his aunt almost died due to lack of oxygen tank in the emergency ward

LASUTH has released a response following claims made by actor Ebisan about the hospital’s alleged misconduct. According to Ebisan, his aunt was in critical condition and in urgent need of oxygen, but the hospital reportedly stated that there was no space for an oxygen tank in the emergency ward.

In a video recorded at LASUTH, Ebisan accused the hospital of negligence, claiming that the doctors refused to treat his aunt and asked him to take her elsewhere. LASUTH, however, has rebuffed these allegations and presented their own version of events.

A statement posted on LASUTH’s website explained that the hospital has a two-week supply of oxygen and is in contact with six oxygen suppliers for emergency provisions. It was detailed that Ebisan’s aunt arrived at the hospital at 1:10 am, received medical attention, and was provided with emergency oxygen despite the unit’s sixteen oxygen ports being fully utilized.

The statement also addressed the altercation between the patient’s relative and the hospital staff, emphasizing that despite the aggressive behavior displayed, the patient was stabilized and eventually transferred to another hospital due to bed space unavailability.

LASUTH insisted that the claims of oxygen shortage are baseless and misleading and urged the public to disregard the video circulating on social media.
