The Rigasa railway station in Kaduna was the scene of a violent attack by gunmen on Saturday, January 25th. Travellers who had arrived from Abuja were targeted, with some sustaining injuries and others being abducted. The assailants have already made contact with the families of the abducted and are demanding a ransom of N20 million. This incident comes shortly after a similar attack at the same train station on January 24th.
The Kaduna Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Yakubu Sabo, has confirmed the latest attack and assured that the matter is under investigation.
