Granit Xhaka’s Optimism on Arsenal’s Premier League Title Hopes Despite Aston Villa Defeat

Arsenal faced a setback in their Premier League title ambitions with a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa, but Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Granit Xhaka remains positive about their chances this season.

Following the defeat, the Gunners missed the opportunity to reclaim the top spot on the table and are now trailing champions Manchester City by two points.

Xhaka, who was part of Mikel Arteta’s team that narrowly missed out on the title race last season after leading for over 200 days, expressed his support for his former club.

In an interview with Oma Sports, Xhaka said, “They lost 2-0 to Aston Villa, but they are still very much in the mix. I’m still in touch with many of my former teammates at the club.”

He continued, “I wish them all the best, and hopefully, they can clinch the title this year. Last season was a tight race, so hopefully, they can go all the way this time.”
