Graeme Souness: Chelsea’s EPL Rivals Unable to Secure Raheem Sterling Due to Cost

According to Liverpool icon Graeme Souness, none of Chelsea’s competitors in the Premier League have the financial capability to acquire Raheem Sterling.

Raheem Sterling is on the brink of departing Stamford Bridge this summer following his exclusion from the Blues’ squad by new manager Enzo Maresca.

The English winger has yet to make an appearance in any official matches under Maresca’s management this season, indicating his imminent departure.

During a talk on talkSPORT, Souness asserted that there is a limited market for Sterling.

“Where could Raheem Sterling realistically be transferred to? Saudi Arabia, simple as that. The salary demands he has won’t be met in England again.

“The high transfer fee that Chelsea would demand for him, I doubt there would be any takers within England,” Souness expressed.
