Recently, Governor David Umahi made a declaration regarding his political affiliations, revealing his membership in both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
During a gathering with the people of Ishielu and Onicha Local Government Areas at the State Government House, the Ebonyi Governor expressed disapproval of PDP members considering a move to the APC, emphasizing his full commitment to the APC cause.
Umahi issued a warning to party members who frequently switch between political parties, cautioning that anti-party activities might result in consequences.
He articulated, “Remain steadfast. Vacillating between parties is senseless. If you are in the APC, know that I am there too. If you join the APC, I am a committed member. If you return to the PDP, you will find me there. I engage in anti-party actions with impunity, unlike others who would face repercussions. Therefore, I represent you in the APC while you remain in the PDP. You are free to publicize this on social media.”
Governor Umahi also expressed gratitude to President Buhari for including Ebonyi State in the list of states slated to receive a new Federal College of Education.
