Addressing concerns regarding kidnapping, cultism, and other criminal activities in Delta State, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori assured on Tuesday of his administration’s commitment to collaborating with security agencies to tackle these challenges.
Speaking during a thanksgiving service commemorating the 33rd anniversary of the state’s creation at the Government House Chapel in Asaba, Oborevwori emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security for sustainable development.
Emphasizing his dedication to advancing the state’s development, he highlighted the significant investments made in infrastructure across various sectors of the state’s economy.
Over the past 15 months, Governor Oborevwori discussed the state’s progress in social and economic development, focusing on infrastructural upgrades, healthcare enhancements, educational improvements, and social welfare programs targeting the less fortunate.
He reiterated the state’s collaboration with security agencies to combat kidnapping, cultism, and other crimes, ensuring the safety and security of all residents in Delta State.
Continuing in line with his MORE Agenda promises to the people of Delta State, the Governor affirmed ongoing efforts to strengthen peace and security amidst the challenges faced by other states.
Acknowledging the obstacles ahead, Governor Oborevwori expressed his commitment to supporting security agencies in fostering peace within Delta State, emphasizing that sustainable peace is crucial for the state’s prosperity.
In a sermon titled “The Power Of Collective Thanksgiving,” State Mission Overseer of Living Faith Church, Pastor Shiyanbade Adekunle, urged all Deltans to express profound gratitude to God for the blessings bestowed upon them individually and the state as a whole.
