Governor AbdulRazaq Urges Muslims to Contemplate on Haj Lessons and Celebrations



In a statement released by his spokesperson, Rafiu Ajakaye, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has encouraged the Muslim community to meditate on the teachings of Haj and the joyous occasions associated with it. These include the values of patience, sacrifice, piety, faith in God, as well as justice and fairness.

Wishing the Muslim community blessings ahead of the Eid-al-Adha festivities, he prayed for Allah’s guidance for the ummah to remain on the righteous path.

The Governor also commended the pilgrims, particularly those from Kwara State, whose Hajj rites culminated with prayers at Mount Arafat on Saturday. He invoked blessings upon them, hoping for their spiritual journey to be accepted, and for them to be rewarded with Al-jannah Firdaus, with safe travels back home.

Amidst current socioeconomic reforms and global economic challenges, Governor AbdulRazaq urged unity and support for the President. He emphasized the collective responsibility of citizens in advancing the nation’s prosperity.

Back in Kwara State, he welcomed residents for the Eid celebrations and various cultural activities. Ensuring comfort and safety, recreational areas are open for people to have an enjoyable and memorable time.

While acknowledging the ongoing construction projects that may cause traffic delays, the Governor appealed for patience, highlighting their role in rural-urban transformation efforts aimed at enhancing socioeconomic development, travel efficiency, community aesthetics, and the overall well-being of the populace.
