Goalie of Super Falcons, Nnadozie Aims for Olympic Qualification in Paris 2024

Expressing her eagerness, Super Falcons’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has her sights set on participating in the 2024 Olympic Games.

The Super Falcons, who have won the African championship nine times, last competed in the Olympics 16 years ago.

Nnadozie was part of the team that was unable to secure a spot in the previous edition of the games in Tokyo, Japan.

In order to qualify for Paris 2024, Randy Waldrum’s team will need to overcome the current African champions, South Africa, in a two-legged fixture next month.

Speaking to CAFonline, Nnadozie said, “I have come across many things about the Olympics. When we didn’t qualify in 2020, I was disappointed initially. But then, I told myself that I have plenty of time ahead and that this presents another great opportunity to qualify.”

She added, “I am curious to experience the atmosphere of the Olympic Games.”
