Generous Support from Nigerians for Parents of Quadruplets Exceeds N10m Following Diaper Appeal

Surpassing an impressive milestone of over N10 million, donations have been pouring in for Sodiq Olayode, whose wife Abiodun recently gave birth to quadruplets.

This overwhelming response was triggered by a plea shared by a colleague named James, known as #jamysax on X.com, highlighting Olayode’s struggle to afford diapers for the quadruplets who used 105 diapers within just six days.

James’ post caught the attention of X.com users, prompting generous donations to Olayode’s bank account, details of which were shared by James on Wednesday.

Issuing regular updates, James posted on X.com, “Greetings, as of 16:05, the total amount received is N10,342,204.”

He also mentioned a forthcoming contribution to cover three months’ worth of diaper supply for the quadruplets.

Furthermore, there were offers from individuals to provide baby items and other forms of assistance.

“Additionally, a kind soul volunteered to support them by consistently contributing 50k monthly for a year, along with covering the cost of a house help at 50k monthly for a year. That totals to 100k monthly for a year,” disclosed James.

Earlier, James had revealed the unexpected arrival of a set of quadruplets to Olayode and his wife, contrary to their anticipation of a single child as reported by PUNCH Online.

During an interview with Feelrightnewstv on Facebook, Sodiq shared that they already had a daughter before the arrival of the quadruplets – two boys and two girls.

He mentioned that the quadruplets were born prematurely at eight months due to the pregnancy’s escalating risk to his wife’s life.

Recalling a similar instance in January, where a mother named Deborah Olaki (also known as Mummy Zee on X.com) became a millionaire within 48 hours after sharing her routine of waking up at 4.50 am to prepare her husband’s lunch.
