David Raya, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, received high praise from former England international Gary Lineker for his outstanding performance in the recent Premier League match against Aston Villa.
Lineker now considers the Spanish player to be among the elite goalkeepers in the world.
Raya’s notable moment came when he made a remarkable save to prevent Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins from scoring after a deflected shot hit the crossbar during Arsenal’s 2-0 victory at Villa Park.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker commented, “Mikel Arteta is clearly unafraid to make bold decisions. A year ago, we questioned the signing of David Raya, but now it’s evident that he is an exceptional goalkeeper.
