Friends mourn woman who was stabbed to death along with her husband by their son in Lagos

A woman who was stabbed to death by her 23-year-old son in Ejigbo, Lagos has been mourned by friends on Facebook.

The deceased, Mrs. Toyin Okhide, and her husband, Barr. Clement Okhide, 60, were killed on Tuesday evening, February 4, 2020 (read here). Their daughter, Mary Okhide, was also stabbed and is currently in the hospital fighting for her life.

Neighbours revealed that they were attacked by their son, Michael Okhide, 23, who had been a continuous source of trouble and had resisted his parents’ efforts to guide him onto the right path.

It was also disclosed that Michael had a drug addiction which was a cause of concern for his father, who was known for being strict in the neighborhood.

Following Mrs. Toyin’s passing, friends expressed their grief on Facebook.

Joke Kujenya wrote: “With a heavy heart, I’m still struggling to comprehend your sudden departure my dear, gentle, and pleasant sister, Mrs. #Toyin #Okhide. You were truly a beautiful soul inside-out. I’m thankful to GOD that you lived for our LORD JESUS CHRIST! May you rest in perfect peace in the presence of our FATHER GOD!”

May her soul rest in perfect peace. Sister, this sudden loss is too much for us to bear, that death took you so soon. God will grant us the strength to cope. The Lord will provide comfort to the remaining members of your family. It is well. Shalom.

May her soul rest in perfect peace. Amen. We all love you, but in the face of whatever God allows, we must stand strong and continue to fight for our children, praying on our knees that they will not fall into the hands of the wickedness of this world. Amen. Sister Toyin Okhide, we will all miss you.
