Renowned former Chelsea player, Frank Leboeuf, has delivered harsh criticism towards the club, suggesting that their chances of ever winning the Premier League title again are slim.
Although Chelsea boasts a rich history of six Premier League titles, they have not clinched the championship in the past seven years.
Following a disappointing sixth-place finish last season, Chelsea’s co-owner Todd Boehly took action by dismissing Mauricio Pochettino and appointing Enzo Maresca as the new head coach.
Maresca has been entrusted with the challenging task of leading Chelsea’s multi-billion-pound squad to victory and securing silverware.
Expressing his views to Instant Casino, Leboeuf remarked, “The club may have ample financial resources at their disposal, but as a former player, I find the current state of affairs disgraceful.”
He added, “While there is undeniable talent within the squad, the lack of strong leadership and dependable players poses a significant challenge for Enzo Maresca.”
Leboeuf concluded, “While a cup victory like the FA Cup remains a possibility this season, the chances of Chelsea clinching the Premier League title are highly unlikely. It’s just not feasible.”
