Reflecting on his experience playing against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, recalls a remarkable performance.
Uzoho showcased his skills in Omonia Nicosia’s UEFA Europa League match against Manchester United at the iconic stadium two years ago.
During the game, the goalkeeper made an impressive 12 saves, with United eventually securing a late victory courtesy of Scott McTominay.
Despite the outcome, the 25-year-old takes pride in his display against the Red Devils.
Expressing his feelings, Uzoho told BT Sports, “I was disheartened by the result as we played exceptionally well, but we aimed to secure at least a point.”
“Nonetheless, I’m pleased. Playing in such a grand stadium against these top players is no easy feat.”
