France forward Marcus Thuram praises N’Golo Kante’s impact

In a recent statement, France forward Marcus Thuram shared his thoughts on teammate N’Golo Kante, describing him as a formidable challenge during training sessions.

Thuram’s comments came ahead of France’s Euro 2024 opener against Austria scheduled for Monday.

Kante played a vital role in France’s World Cup victory in 2018.

The former Chelsea player had been absent from the national team for two years until his recent inclusion in head coach Didier Deschamps’ squad for the Euro 2024 tournament.

Currently plying his trade with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad, the 33-year-old midfielder continues to make a strong impression.

During a press conference on Saturday, Thuram humorously remarked, “I feel like there were three of him at Clairefontaine!

His impact is incredible; it makes training sessions difficult. We know we’re in good hands when he’s on our team,” Thuram emphasized.

Reflecting further on Kante’s contribution, Thuram praised him as one of the best midfielders globally, highlighting how the team benefits from having him around.
