Four Fulani herdsmen arrested for raping four sisters

Four Fulani herdsmen have been apprehended for raping four sisters at Manger village in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. 

 

The individuals involved, identified as Hamisu Mohammed (18), Rayanu Mohammed (15), Mustapha Yunusa (15), and Abbas Salisu (17), accosted the minors on their way home before perpetrating the distressing act. 

 

One of the girls recounted the incident, stating that they were threatened with sticks and struck with them by the suspects after they resisted. Subsequently, the herdsmen took turns to rape the injured girls. 

 

The sisters managed to escape to a nearby village called Luwapem, where they raised an alarm, leading to the arrest of the perpetrators. 

 

The herdsmen, currently in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department, have confessed to conspiring and committing the crime. Prosecuting Inspector E. A. Inegbenoise informed the media that the suspects will be prosecuted after the completion of the investigation.
