Four Filling Stations and Two Gas Outlets in Akwa-Ibom Sealed by NMDPRA

In Akwa-Ibom, the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Eket office, took action by sealing off four filling stations and two gas stations due to their failure to renew licenses and maintain proper housekeeping.

During a routine inspection of petrol stations in Uyo, the Coordinator of the Authority, Mr. Ikechukwu Eseka, informed reporters about the closures.

Mr. Eseka emphasized, “Some of the filling stations were closed due to non-renewal of licenses and poor housekeeping standards in the state.”

The affected filling stations are located in Uyo, the state capital.

Marketers were sternly warned by Eseka against engaging in under-dispensing, hoarding, or diversion of petroleum products.

Additionally, the Authority is conducting regular inspections to ensure that the facilities meet the required standards in the state.
